80's 123 for sale beside the road, looks good
I have been driving by this car for a few weeks and I finally stopped to look at it. It sits for sale beside the road. Medium blue with dark blue interior. Very nice paint and body. Only blemish is rust bubbles below LR door and missing mounding on LR fender. Interior: no holes in MB tex, small crack in dash, everything else appears good. Aftermarket radio. 291K showing on the clock. Just stopped to look, have not heard it run or know what the price is. If anyone on the board is looking for a car in SE Virginia I can knock on the door and find out the scoop, maybe even take some pics. Let me know if anyone is interested. I have gotten a great deal from this board and if I can return a little I would be glad to.
 I would be a player if the price was right but my "very tolerant wife" would not like me to buy two MB's in one month!

Its a 123 (I think) I'd say 83-85 300D turbodiesel. It is located on highway 258 between Isle of Wight courthouse and Smithfield. About a mile and a half north of the courthouse. I'll get the details if you would like...

Either way if fine....Doubt I could swing a car now anyways, but I know a friend who told me this afternoon he may be looking for one if he sells his pickup truck....

I did yesterday. I mentioned in the OP that I had been driving by it for a few weeks. I found out why. He wants $3500 for the car
 But he also said that was negotiable From what I could see of the car the body and interior were in pretty good shape. Never heard it run, after I heard the price I didn't think anyone here would want it. I can get the number if you still want it.
