Engine Mount life expectancy.

I bought engine mounts last August. I have put 15000 miles on the new mounts and shocks. I am now starting to get the noises affiliated with bad mounts again.

How long can we expect the mounts to last? I know they are cheap and easy to do, but I think they should last longer than 8-9 months.

Which brand did you get? When I did mine I used one from fastlane and one from the dealer. (don't ask ) Mine have been in a full 2 years now as of last week, and have over 35k on them. They still seem to be fine.

That could be your problem. I used a Lemforder, and an OEM MB one, (probably also Lemforder) they look like they have a lot more "rubber mass" in the pictures. The "Corteco" ones which you referred to, seem to be skinnier/have less rubber, which could lead to them collapsing faster or wearing out easier....
