vacuum system man do I hate vacuum

well at the point of hooking up the vacuum system on my girlfriends car, its an 82 240D body with an 82 300D turbo engine and trans it has the green valve on the side of the trans I dont remember what model that is, havent been able to find any decent diagrams telling me how to hook this thing up, the 2/3 valve is confusing and what all these lines going threw the fire wall go to. if some one could help me out it would be wonderful the car has power locksand manual climate control I think thats all the controlled by vacuum.
