1981 300TD driveshaft center bearing rubber support

Can anybody tell me if I need to take the whole driveshaft out to replace the rubber part of the center driveshaft support or possibly just the rear half or front half of the driveshaft? Thanks, Lance |

Only the rear part of the shaft passes through the bearing, but I think it will be easiest to pull the whole shaft.

I did this over the weekend and just took the rear part of the shaft out. Seperating the rear flex-disc wasn't easy but other than that it was a simple thing to replace the bearing support. Thanks, Lance |
