blind, stupid, other? can't find haynes manual

on mbusa website--can't find anything not on current year models on the mbusa website. No mercedes manuals at the local autozone (all gm, ford and toyota books).

I keep being told I can order the cd at the mbusa site, but I've been searching for over an hour w/o luck. Am i a complete idiot, or is there another benz site besides mbusa.com?

You need to go to the classics part of the website

use the site map at mbusa and find the classics and you can get it through there.. I cannot post a link since it opens in a seperate java window... you can also get them from your local mercedes dealership for the same price

classics > classic center > technical literatire

while your there get the paper work for your high milage award if it applies

I have the factory service manuals for the engine and the chassis. I also have the Haynes manual. Though not very thorough, the Haynes manual is still a great addition, especially for the price. In fact, I used it extensively when putting a new clutch in my 240.

Arrow The link to MBUSA Classic Center......

Here's the link... http://www.mbusa.com/heritage/index.do

Mouse over the tab... Classic Center

Select..... Technical Literature ....from the drop down menu.....

SB

FWIW: In my opinion the Haynes Manuals are just a ripoff of the manufacturers Service Manuals.......all makes and models.....

I had looked at Bentley Publishing in the past, and thought perhaps that they had come up with something new......they didn't.....!!!

Does not cover 240 or 300 series!!!!!! Does not Cover Diesel!!!!!

I found this site who sells manuals I have never bought one but they have one for just about every model for Benz starting in the late 60's
http://www.manualsunlimited.com/index.php?manufacturers_id=35&osCsid=c5f062807a81d5c8a83995ffe8d3efdb

I was able to get a Haynes manual at the local parts place I just had to have them order it. Ebay always has them too.

There is where I got my manual from. It was a 700MB(?) download, fills two CDs when unzipped, and appears like it might cover a bunch of other 123 models as well.

From what I can tell, it is a copy of the MBUSA CD (bad wiring scans and all). I don't know why they can get away with selling it, and I wouldn't have bought it from them if I'd realized that's what it was at the time (I prefer to support IP originators when possible), but they've been at it for a while, and MB seems to let them keep selling it...

What, you mean your D did not come with a haynes manual? I have 8 of these cars, and each one came with a manual from haynes in the glove box or trunk... I could post some up for sale if you want one. it is ONLY for the 123 chassis vehicle, but most carries over to the 126 stuff, like engine and suspension stuff.
pm an offer if you want one of mine.

Yep, I've got a brand spankin' new Haynes available for the 123 diesel too. We guys in NC must have the Haynes market cornered.
