Holy crap , putting it back in is a real PITA!!!! I just got the passsenger side done after 2 days of muscling it around under there.. Seems like the wheel assembly moves backward when not connected up wiht the guide rod into the bushing mounted to the body.... I had to use a rachet style tie down to pull the assembly forward to the tow hook and then mount it up..

sheesh!!!

I guess Ill do the other side tomorrow.. I hope its better since there is no exhaust pipe on that side.. (er, nor a tow hook) eep!

Tried to tell you it was easier with the spring removed, by the way did you replace the bushing on the lower control arm?

You guys...

Unscrewing the guide rod, counting the number of turns is the hardest part of this job. Next to taking the wheel off.
Be sure to line up the weep hole when installing the new bushing.

damn...

well Im gonna do the drivers side now and not looking forward to it.. Well I forgot to count the threads but Im eyeballing it... gonna go for an alignment later anyways..

Control arm bushing?? IS that the lower arm that the bottom of the spring and the bottom of the shock is attached to? If so, no I did not replace that bushing.... I just replaced everything for that guide rod, front and back... For the front of the guide rod, I just replaced the bushings on the bottom half, since it wears first and there was no visible excessive wear anyhow...

Yeah that weap hole, I figured needed to be lined up for some odd reason so I kept it that way.. Slapping some waterproof high dollar grease on everything on the way in and blue loctite everything..

Cheers!
