Transmission Shifting Problems

Got the thing running and put together well enough to actually drive the thing a little, put in a new kick down cable and adjusted it, the vacuum system is not working I dont think, the port that the transmission is supposed to hook to has no vacuum at all, the port closer to the booster has good vacuum and the booster has great vacuum is it possible that this port is plugged ? I can suck threw it with a vacuum pump just a little bit the one closer to the booster sucks threw easy and the booster's check valve works fine. I dont think the pump is bad it seems to suck well, the valve down on the transmission leaks off very slowly so Im not sure if thats a problem or not and Im not sure about the contole valve on the IP I replaced it with the one that came on the 616 that was in the car when I got it so I would assume it is good (but you know what that does to you) and the orifice is MIA so I need to find one of those, does any one have any ideas what I need to do ?
thank you much
