my mileometer and tachometer aren't working, but the clock is, and so is the speedo.
is this an easy fix or do i just live with it?

judge for yourself. I did mine slightly different from dieselgiant choosing to knurl the metal where the slipping gear rides instead of trying to get locktite in there. Do some searching and you'll find more discussion about that.

I don't believe that pictorial applies to your car, as I "think" your car is a W124 chassis? We don't have that model on our side of the pond.
Others will chime in to either correct me or give the appropriate info......

Dieselgaint's site only explains the odo for the 123 series, your 89 will be considerably different. pull your cluster out, carefully remove the speedometer, and look at the side plate, I bet you have gears out. search for odometer gears on yahoo or google, and you should find a supplier.
