Somebody should stakeout that location and get a picture of the perp and/or find out where his operations base is.

Look at all the squiggly marks on the hood pad from the washer. :D

If I was really interested, and not just wasting time when I should be sleeping, I would go to yellowpages.com and go through all the autobody shops in St. Petersburg (168, but you can exclude the reputable ones and narrow it down), get the addresses and look them up on google satellite images, and then look for that dumpster you can see in the passenger vanity mirror near the large windowless wall with an asphalt drive next to it with a fence at the end and a yellow post next to that. But I really do have a life, so I'll hold off for now.

Also note at the bottom of the description: "The winning bidder pays $395 processing fee." "The warranty is for 300 miles /or 3 days, covers the engine internal components and transmission against breakdowns."

Here is the kicker:
"The seller shall not be responsible for the correct representation, authenticity, genuineness, or defects herein, and makes no warranty in connection therewith. No allowance or set aside will be made on account of any incorrectness, imperfection, defect or damage. Any descriptions or representations are for identification purposes only and are not to be construed as a warranty of any type. It is the responsibility of the buyer to have thoroughly inspected the vehicle as well as to research title and accidents history and to have satisfied himself or herself as to the condition and value and to make a purchase decision based upon that judgment solely." "Seller assumes no responsibility for any repairs and history regardless of any oral statements about the vehicle."

Kicker indeed, but that sort of disclaimer wouldn't hold up in a court of law. The unfortunate side is that no one would actually go to court because it's such a PITA...however, if someone has some free time, really doesn't like this guy and wants to put him out of business....might be able to stick him with attorney's fees to boot.

It looks like it has R134 adapters on the A/C lines in one picture. In Florida in the summer that might not cut it.

I recognize those headrests. The driver's is from a '00-02 E-class (brown piping), while the passenger's is from a '96-99 E-class (tan piping).

Run, don't walk away from this guy. See how hazy the repaint is? This guy is a scammer.

WOW! Sherlock Holmes to the rescue!!!

I know where that area is...(I'm from Clearwater which is like 30-45 mins away) it is down by the bayfront center - it's a pretty nice place. That'd be fun to roll down there and see the guy taking pictures and then follow him back to his shop, or lot, or whatever it is that he does business out of.

If you run a search in the ebay alert thread for "marina" you get this post:

http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/showthread.php?p=1389676&highlight=marina#post1389676

From that post you get this sellers phone number "727-459-6508". If you google the phone number you get this result:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=727-459-6508&btnG=Google+Search

This first entry is to a dead thread, but the cache link to the thread gives you this (see picture also):

http://216.239.51.104/search?q=cache:UkfQ99XWtfEJ:www.mercedes300tdw124.com/+727-459-6508&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=1&gl=us

That link has the email address of "deutschemotoren@yahoo.com" - which is just about also shown in the subject ebay listing of this thread.

There is an address shown of: 2631 6th Ave South St Petersburg FL 33712

Google maps satellite image of this address shows the second image below:

So - if you want call the Florida law enforcement entities responsible for regulating this type of behavior, here is what you need to do it.

I am not advocating that anyone do anything illegal!
