Really bad W123 wrecks (pics)

Those old W123 cars can really take a hit. (from benzworld)

Safety is still such a compelling reason to drive one of them

Ooooowww! That smarts. It looks like that didn't even break the windshield, although it's hard to tell with the snow there.

Yes, the windscreens still there, just popped out of the frame. It's what's holding up the snow.

Rubbing compound, electric buffer, and some elbow grease will fix those W123's!

We could run a contest on this one like, "What did it hit?"
And for bonus points, How fast was it going?"

The red one proves it is better to "pull" an engine, than attempt to push it out.

The one with the roof rack was hit in the rear too I think.

The most amazing one to me was the green one with the metal pole almost back to the firewall!

The brown one is the worst I have seen of a 123 wreck. Look at the way that it held across the roof from center post to center post. Even though the rear was seriously compromised the front section was still protecting the front riders!

I had an old rusty 123 that I stripped of all useful parts and took to a local crusher yard. The day he crushed it he also crushed an old chebby race car with a full roll cage. He said the race car folded right up but the 123 made his crusher groan!

I am thinking that the owner of the red car used it to chop down all of those trees. Sort of a Paul Bunyan story... "I'm sorry y'all, but I had to show everyone that I could chop down those trees better than a chainsaw"
