83 300DT Power roof opens but won't close

Is it the switch or is this the symptom of a bigger issue? I can crank it closed, but the motor doesn't run when I hit the switch.

Yes, the swith opened the roof. Silly of me to post. I pulled the switch, cleaned it, and put it back in and it works fine.

Now if I could get the rear window switches to work.

Can't offer much help here as I have the oposite problem- won't open, but closes great (with the switch).

Certainly worth a shot, since it only takes 15 minutes to pull it out and clean it up. Scrape those contacts good with the tip of a sharp screwdriver or something.

Folks are here to help, glad your problem was an easy fix.

Trying from doors. They open fine from console. I'll check that lock out switch.

That's it. The freakin lockout switch was on. I assumed it was engaged if it were in the down position, but its the opposite.

Thanks for that tidbit of info.
