Removal of restrictor for fuel tank
Guys I have E320 CDI (diesel) that I would like to remove the restrictor from the fuel inlet pipe to the fuel tank. The reason I guess is for some reason MB decided to save a few bucks I guess and use the same parts for the diesel as they used for the gas model. This makes it difficult to fill the car when not using a "car island pump" which is seldom seen where I live and buy fuel, even then it does not allow for the nozzle to be inserted far enough to allow for hands free fueling. I can cut the offending parts free, but I would rather do a clean removal if possible.
Anyone that could help, I would be greatful. PS: yea I know it is a diesel problem and this is a gasser page, but it is really a gasser fuel filler causing the problem. ![]()
