Bmw 524td?

Just bought one and was wondering who else on the forum has one and where they go for the bountiful help and info I've gotten here over the years?

Thanks

524td

BioBens,

I have been running a BMW 524td for many years. It's in the shop now for new paint and a windscreen. There is a forum on Yahoo that provides some information called 524td@yahoogroups.com

Parts are getting hard to come by for these cars but I have had good luck with Steve Haygood. Do a google search for him.

If you have specific question about the BMW oil burner it's probably best that we communicate by PM. Please feel free.

thanks, Ed! I've found the yahoo forum helpful for the past year while I've been hunting a 524. Mine's also an 85.

Those are good cars, a lot of them were sold over in Great Britain.

The very unusual but sought after Vixen motorhome has the same engine (in the early models before they switched to a V-6), as did some Lincolns.

George,
Thanks so much for that link. It's exactly what I've been looking for. Hope it's as helpful as this forum has been.

Tried to attach a link to a 524td for sale on Denver's Craigslist but the author just recently deleted it. Must have sold.

Guy used to come into our neighborhood with a Vixen. I loved it. He claimed he got 29-30mpg's with it. Very cool but a tad too small for 3 people. Almost bought one anyway.
