what is a Engine Shock/Damper; Engine Shock Mounting Kit?

what's a
Engine Shock/Damper; Engine Shock Mounting Kit?

is it for repairing the lower engine shock mount bushing?

im debating- should i get 2 shocks and 2 mounts-
or 2 shocks and 2 kits?

or is the mounting kit something else?

Not familiar with kit, may contain 2 each shocks, mounts. You'll need two of each, I think. And a rear mount.

Referring to rear mount: would that be the transmission mount?

The shock mounting kit normally applies to the hardware (washers, rubber bushings, nut) at the frame (lower) end of the engine shock. A selling price in the $10 range would be typical. The shock mount is at the upper end of the shock and costs in the vicinity of $40.

The transmission mount is totally unrelated
