any way to tweak the turbo so i can hear it?

is there anything i can do to my 603 to get the turbo to make some noise? i love the way the turbo sounds on a turbocharged car but you cant hear it on the 603, i cut my cat converter off and drove it to the parts store to get a straight pipe to weld in its place , and it was LOUD and you could sooooo hear the turbo it sounded cool i just wish there was a way it could sound like that all the time without having to have an open exhaust, the car runs soooo much better without the cat converter on there, it was just so clogged up it was rediculas.

I was also wondering, is there any other "free mods" i can do to my car to make it a little quicker? im at about 12.5 to 13psi right now and i did the alda job, got my cat out of there, boost gauge, i need an egt, i think thats it, i wanted to do the egr removal and put that plate on there but i was unclear what the benifit of doing that was.

You can put a really short air filter on the front of the turbo. Not sure if that is possible but if you can remove any physical restrictions near the intake turbine you'll hear some noise. And remove your hood pad.

That's what you really need. The intake is short and unrestricted without one so the natural noise of the engine's intake overpowers the turbo's noise.

In any case, you'll never get it to sound like a semi truck.

It is a diesel sedan, I don't think that they intended them to be rice rockets (dumpling rocket ) I know that the sweeds (s/p???) have done some crazy stuff to 617's.

There is a straight body truck used in Europe (MB Built) that has them. The next trip back to the Vaterland the wife and I make I'm hitting the junkyards. Only bad thing is it might be a year or two.

You could make a recording of a semi and play it in your car stereo, really loud...
