Pick-N-Pull at I-30 and Loop-12, west of Downtown usually has a few to choose from. The condition will vary based on who got to them first.....

title?

What I got in the mail was a TDoT certificate of authority to dispose of a vehicle to demolisher for demolition or dismantling. The fine print says I cannot title it. Any ideas????? If I get someone to help me title it in another state will this affect the title in that state and in Texas if I try to transfer to Texas. UUUUGGGGHHHH. I hate title issues.

I ran into the same thing in Kentucky

I bought an 83 300D sedan on ebay. It was listed as no title available, but the seller indicated that if a title was wanted, he would do his best to secure it. He had owned and operated that car for a number of years. Well, when I went to pick up the car, we went to DMV to see if the title could be reissued. The owner had surrendered the title in lieu of purchasing a license for the car, and by so doing could keep it on his farm property as a parts car. And they made no bones about it that when such a title is surrendered in Kentucky, it is gone forever. In researching the situation here Indiana, it looked like I could get it titled for a little less then $2000.00 and I dropped the issue there.

A battery operated hand drill can easily be taken to a personally owned parts car. Certain aluminum rivets are no match for the softest drill bit. Since the engine is not listed on any of the unriveted sheet metal plates it is a GO !! The drill bit can usually be taken into most junque yards as well, but they might not have any of those titles either. A parts car just makes it so much easier!!!

Title issues makes me kreng ,my 84 mb coupe had a virgina title ,signed wrongly by the title holder who then sold it to 2nd title holder who then sold it to 3rd party holder who sold it to me.When I was handed the keys the mechanic shop owner handed all the paper work and explained ,this is all youll need ,after looking over the title I almost wanted my money back but couldnt pass up on this sweet car.The gal at the DMV took a look at the back of the title and just laughed ,she then began passing it around to her co-workers after their disbelief.I think they photo copied it and hung it on the wall .So ,this was searched out on my part to find that original owner of the car who signed it wrong ,then got the document from the dmv to mail him which stated he gives me power over the title in his sted. That cleared the whole mess up and gave me right to the car after 5 weeks of document hussle.Never again,Ill be looking over titles before I even drive the car being sold.

You wouldnt happen to have said parts car that maybe someone, desperate, might kindof aquire such a possible title?!?!? Hypothetically speaking of course, that would never happen.
