Belly Pan??

I have a question for all of us 126 and 123 diesel owners that are tired of the oil seepage that is common in these high mileage engines staining our driveways and garage floors, has anyone ever had any luck installing one of those plastic PANS under the engine that were used on the W124 or any other model. To my limited knowledge, there was never a factory bellypan on the 126 or 123. I think that some cars (maybe the 124 300d) even had what we called a diaper to soak up the oil that collected in the bellypan.
