I ran across this site while looking for something else.

They say that this is an inert non-petroleum based synthetic that will last for the lifetime of a gasser and 50K for Diesels, which must use the slightly less efficient "universal" type oil.

'They' are the people selling it.

It's only $26-$30 per litre.

But it lasts FOREVER!!! (or 50k IN A Diesel)

Generally when a "company" puts together a shoddy website with Frontpage 3.0 (which is what they used to make that site) (released like 9-10 years ago) they're probably not doing too well, or have a very low possibility of being legitimate. ;) Thats your first sign right there.

Thats one of the most poorly made web sites I've seen in a pretty long time. :D

edit: they claim a YUGO ran 400,000+ miles (undocumented of course) on their products. Now THAT should confirm how false their claims are. :eek: :dizzy2:

If it wasn't a scam, one of the big companies would have own the formula and would be marketing it.

If you never want to change your oil again, pay someone else to do it. Every 3,000 miles, hot.

They really can make a diesel engine oil that will last 50,000 miles and quite possibly even much longer or further then that. The only thing they can't do or show you how to do it, is to keep the oil clean. If you can find a way to keep the carbon and water out or cleaned up, you can make any good oil last pretty much forever - and that is a long time.

However short that may, but your results will vary.:P

Oil is the cheapest part of keeping up a car.

well there claims are prob from fact that base oil don't wear down the additives in it does as many car makers out there do there own maintance for 50K miles or so they'd all be using this miracle oil. most use texaco or mobil far as i know... and sure don't advicate anything lifeterm w/o some type of oxidation monitoring system.

I am personally unlikely to pay $30 per quart for any sort of oil. They insist that oil does not actually turn color because it is dirty, but because it decomposes due to the heat, and that a good air filter removes nearly all the dirt, anyway.

Their oil is already black in color, right out of the bottle.

Of course, a Diesel produces a lot of soot.

I agree that they do not appear to be all that serious if they have not updated their website since 2004, and that they are still using aol.

I could not find a physical address for the company, either. I suppose it has to be there somewhere.

I would think that to convince anyone to pay 6 times the price for Mobil 1 they should reveal exactly what their product is synthesized from. Goose grease, Jojoba nuts, Guar gum, wallaby tallow, coati mundi fat, squid squeezings, whatever.

I tend to disagree that if Big Oil had a formula for lifetime oil, that they would even try to sell it to consumers, as they would not make as much from it as they do now from their current products. Supposedly NASA used it on the lunar rover, they say.

I have seen a Huyndai Excel in a boneyard with 350K on the odometer. The Yugo had a fairly decent Fiat engine. It was the fit and finish that sucked. The engine may have been the best thing about a Yugo.

They also claim that because of their super lubrication, even timing belts that are supposed to be replaced at 50k last over twice as long. Being as a rubber belt is not lubricated at all, I don;t see how this could be true.

LOL, why would the lunar rover need a "lifetime" engine oil.....it was electrically powered.....and they drove what....10 miles total with it? :D

(That is, if they ever actually did go to the moon...thats questionable... :D *flame suit on*)
