w124 headlight switch wiring?

I'm doing a boost gauge install on my 300d w124. I plan on making a DIY article (have pictures!)

I'm stuck - I want to make the gauge light up when I turn the headlight switch to the headlamp on position.

Theirs a slew of wires leading to the back of the switch. Anyone have any schematics or anything for these cars?

I have a schematic but I'll have to do some digging. Where are you planning on mounting the gauge? I just installed mine into the area where the ashtray was ... EASY to wire up the lighting because you can just use the wires that go to the ashtray lamp (it turns on and off with the light switch). I haven't fabricated a wooden panel for it yet, so it just sits in that hole, but I can take a photo to give the general idea when I get a chance.

I'll hunt for the schematic and post it if no one else beats me to it ... I know it's on this computer somewhere ...

Done!

Just checked for +12v with a multi-meter. The wire already had a wire tap on it (I don't know if it's on from the factory?) I mounted it ontop of the dash, to the right of the wheel.

It's a temp. mount - If I sell this car I'd take it out. I put a layer of black gaff/duct tape on the dash. I then used some hot-glue and secured the pod to the tape (neat idea, huh?)

Wiki to come, I have quite a few pics!
