124 Mirrors

Why is the passengers side mirror more square than the driverside?

Some W124s I've seen have different sized mirrors, but not the W126s. Not sure why...

Maybe this is a 124...can't tell because it doesn't have any emblems and it's too new for me to really pay attention to., but it's a nice euro wagon, sheepskins, euro bumpers with front plate cover, euro headlights, but it's missing a center cap

It has the single center wiper arm...whichever model has that..

I don't think there is a 126 wagon. It must be a 124.

It's a 124

The car to which you are referring is a W124; the single wiper arm and that it's a wagon say so clearly. There have never been any S-class saloons, except for some W116s that were modded in the late '70, plus whatever custom jobs others may have done.

The square sideview mirror provides improved visibility. I've found it exposes more of the blind spot. I wish my W126 SDL had such a mirror on the passenger's side. But, I'm not about to do anything crazy like replace it with one from a W124.

Yeah, my 92 300d has the square passenger mirror. It works pretty well too. At least I like it.
