Power loss after glow plug replacement?

So my 84300TD stopped starting easily, preglow light not coming on, I jumped on line and found the problem to be glowplugs. Did all the tests described by DieselGiant (thank you!), replaced the plugs, light now comes on as designed, but now I have terrible power loss. Didn't know if there was something in the vicinity of the gp's that would cause such a thing.
The rest of the story is that I'm running wvo filtered, been running it since May with no probs. the temp went to 40's last nite so I'm wondering if perhaps this sounds like a viscosity of my wvo changing. I changed the filters this morning and the priming pump didn't seem to pull the oil either.

Any input would be appreciated, i'm thinking i'll try draining the fuel tank and filling with ...diesel....sadly.

Sounds like your WVO went from a viscous liquid to more or less a solid. That can indeed happen literally overnight These diesels can run on a lot of different stuff if asked to, but they must be liquid.

And you're not heating the oil at all?!

If you're not using a proper two tank 140+ degree heated system for your WVO you're going to have more than power loss as your problems pretty soon.

You'll be entering into possible piston ring coking and engine compression loss/won't start anymore.

I only run diesel.

If it turns out not to fuel related, check the hard line between the ALDA and the turbo switchover valve. They do get brittle and break at the slightest slip of a wrench.

I found that out the hard way...
