I have a 1981 300D non-turbo diesel. The injecters are 33x. That is what is stamped on them. Two of the injecters have different body configerations. Anyway, i recently installed a new set of nozzles from italy in them. It is using more fuel now, and a lot of smoke on start up. I was told, that the injecters in my car were for a turbo model, they were dumping to much fuel into the cylinders? I have called to different dealers and have to different answers. Are these the correct injecters or not? Thanks for any help!

Do the injectors have a stamp on 'em that indicates bar?
Ones that came out of my turbo have 135 bar, N/A's will be different. I would think that would be more important than nozzle size, if there is a difference there.

Did you just replace the nozzles without checking the spray pattern and proper pop-pressure? This is not DIY unless you have a pop-tester (or at least a booty fab knock off).

Only the pop pressure is different, they can be set to whatever pressure is needed.

By Italian spray nozzles did you mean Bosio nozzles.
The Bosch spray Nozzles for the turbo and non-turbos are the same. As ForcedInduction said the pop pressure (opening pressures) are different. The non-turbo injectors will have a tiny 115bar stamped on it representing the opening pressure. The turbo injectors will have a tiny 135bar stamped on them. If you changed only the spray nozzles on the injectors and did not clean them or keep all of the parts for each individual injector separate from the other injectors all kinds of problems can happen. (There are 2 types of injector bodies/hlders; except for the nozzles the parts cannot be interchanged.) It is very easy to get dirt or other contamination inside of the injector when you have them apart. Any time you have replaced a part inside of the injector you need to have the opening pressure checked and set. You need to have a Nozzle tester (Pop tester) to do that. I sent you a private message.

You can also use the DNOSD261 -Gives a slight increase in torque at lower engine-speeds I found...(Used in the n/a 617, G-wagen engine) The nozzle holder isnt that important providing its not damaged or from the wrong make engine! Opening pressures for all N/A engine nozzles is 115 bar, (New) 110 bar (Used)
