It's a LWB 116 so it's technically an SDL.

That would be a fabulous vehicle to own, but, the risk of a poor conversion...............

Price is a bit steep as well..........

But it says professional conversion. Someone makes a living converting 450SELs to 300SDLs. How can you go wrong?

Maybe you ought to take a ride over there............and see how "professional" it is..........might be worth $10K if it's truly exceptional.

Actually, it says 'profesional' conv... if that's an indicator, I'd rather stay away from it. But maybe it's not even a big deal to swap out the power train.
From my personal experience, I've had the most disappointments looking at cars, Santa Barbara and North of it. I stopped going this way for this reason, years ago.

The installer is a occassional forum poster who floods Craiglist with WVO conversions and ridiculously priced conversions.

Even with a brand new motor it costs $6000 and $1500 with a rebuilt trans so it costs $6500 for the installation......and then why would it have 57K miles on the car?

Only if you make the claim in a journal of authority like eBay or craigslist.

Too far from San Jose. Besides, I prefer my MBs to have battle scars

? That doesn't look like a 603 under the hood, the valve cover is wrong.

Looks high in front. Either the 617 is that much lighter than the 117 or he got springs from Brian's supplier

Seems like a real professional would have used 300SD springs or somehow correct the ride height.
