so that 94sd i bought needs a chain

how lucky am i - the master link piece came off. the chain was still on. it was off 15 degrees. they say i am very lucky not sure if i that is the case?

they are going to do the chain, and top sprocket at least and hopefully the link is in the oil pan.

the oil pan had been jb welded due to a hole on the side of it- they want to replace it

they are saying 11 hours around 1500-1700- for parts and labor does that sound fair?

is there anything else that could be done when that is all opened up- thanks

Timing chain? I guess if the car is still operational after hacing the chain break, you are lucky. That's cheaper than a new engine!

15 degrees off means it skipped a tooth as well. Make sure they replace all the guides and tensioner when they do the chain.
