OM606 | 606.912 | Injector | Nozzles
I've found a place in Charlotte, NC that would service my MB injectors. They stated it would cost $21/injector to service, plus the cost of the nozzle(s).
If I supplied the nozzles or not the price per injector service would not change. I want to stay with OEM if possible. Does anyone have the part number for the nozzles AND where to purchase, order from? The person I spoke with needed a part number to reference so he couldn't price the nozzles separately. I looked up the Bosio nozzle on www.KermaTDI.com and they appear to be the same nozzle for the OM606 NA & turbo engines, but cost $44 each... I am assuming my injectors are original @ 202k miles. Help guys... |
Lots of injectors
will cross reference N.A. to turbo. The different pop pressure is from the spring and shim set up. PM sent.

I don't know of any place that sells just the OEM (Bosch) nozzles for the OM606 engine. I too would like to know in case I need them in the future. Even at 202K miles I would have the injectors tested first. There's still a good chance there's nothing wrong with them.

Anyone have the nozzle part number or replacement part number. In case the injection shop is clueless ?

I went to the site listed below; in the lower right hand corner you can look for parts for your vehicle. It will have RESOURCES and below that VEHICLE PARTS FINDER. For a 97 E300D the Bosch nozzle number is 0 434 250 897. But please verify it for you self. http://www.boschautoparts.com/Products/InjectionsComponents/?searchid=452251|17747691|115861157 |

Anyone have the specs or link to what the injectors should read in BAR when being pop tested?
Just went to that Bosch site and for a '99 E300D they do not have "Fuel Injection" listed. Under glow plugs you will find the part number for the complete injector... Just FYI... :sun1: |
I believe it's still 135 bar. It should be stamped on your injectors.

I went to the Bosch site looked up 99 E300D. It said that the engine was 606.962 not 606.912 (your 97 has this engine). They listed only a new injector assembly part number 0 434 217 280. The rocauto site has no injector parts for you model except the heat shield. As I have time I will poke around the internet. How about going back to that Bosch site and see if they have a "contact us" section and Email them your question. OR pull out 1 injector take it apart and write down the number off the injector nozzle. |
I went to the Bosio site. They list the injector nozzles for your car:
"Mercedes E300 '98-99 (OM606) Refer to MB part #002 017 18 12 For the USA/CANADA E300 from '95-99 Sold as each, order the quantity needed" I take this to mean that the 1998 and 1999 injector nozzles are the same. I went back to the Bosch site and looked up 1998 E300D; it showed the injector nozzle part number: 0 434 250 897. I believe that this is the same part number that ******** had listed for the 97 E300D and if you read further down on the Bosio text it has: "For the USA/CANADA E300 from '95-99". This implys that the nozzles are the same 1995-1999. |
All,
I am now looking for nozzles for this engine. My dad loves the car, but it is nailing now. I tried the Bosch indian-made ones, but the nailing is even worse than the Bosch french-made ones that it has from factory. Right now neither Monark or Bosio seem to make them anymore. The options that I can find are Magneti Marelli, Firad, DTP Any suggestions on what to try? |
Firad
Firad.
