clatter or knocking sound on diesel engine

hi
i have a 1984 300sd turbo and its giving this loud clatter noise after i have the injectors calibrated. i would like to know the exact pressure bar for these injectors since they a now set at 200 bars, also the transmission shift from 1 to 2 is very jerky and it will only shift from 3 to 4 when you reduce the pressure on the acelerator peddal
thank you

A search for "injector pressure calibration" came up with this: http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/showthread.php?t=155294&highlight=injector+pressure+calibration

On the blue bar, select search and advanced search and many times these questions will have been answered in depth in the past. In fact, sometimes you will get a better answer to your question.

TWO HUNDRED BAR? Yikes - I'm surprised the engine runs at all. The spec is about 135 bar, usually set to 140-145 during calibration. You need to have them re-calibrated immediately...

I sure hope so... you are correct, 2000psi would be perfect, it's about 138 bar.
