expansion tank replacement

Quick Question: Does the 1985 TDT wagon have to get the "plug kit" when replacing the expansion tank? This is the warning:

Earlier models may require (1) 126 500 00 84 plug kit to accomodate opening for level sensor.

???

I have the plug kit in mine, since I don`t have the fluid level sensor. these expansion tanks fit different model MB.

My original one didn`t have the opening for the sensor, but the replacements do.

AFAIK, W123 cars did not have a low-coolant warning, so they need the 'plug kit.' W126 and W124 cars do have the warning so they have a float switch in the tank. Don't know about the W201 cars.
