AC Problem

Ok. My AC Compressor belt broke yesterday. I want to change the belt with a new one. My issue is the fact that I am very busy right now and I have to go out of town in a few days. Can I drive the car without the AC Belt on the interstate for several hours?? Does anyone see a potential problem w/ this other than the fact that the AC won'e work?

I won't hurt anything. my compressor is out so I took off the belt. My only suggestion would be to not try to turn on the A/C it "could?" do something, I am not sure. but as for running with that belt off that would be fine.

Operating without the belt won't hurt a thing. But you might want to verify proper a/c clutch and compressor operation before replacing the belt; otherwise the new belt might suffer the same fate as the old one.
