water pump housing

I was wanting to find out on the like radiator hose that connects the water pump housing to the water pump on 83 300D if it can be replaced without removing the water pump housing or not? Mine seems to be seeping a bit. Anyone been there or done that?? It's a short hose about 2 or 3 inches long from my observation.

You must remove the T stat housing too replace that short hose.
