'83 300TDT - at $1400
I looked at it, pretty solid, a little rust around the wheel arches but not much, started as soon as the glow-light went out (~35degrees out) and shifted nice.
10minutes to go. http://www.biddingatauction.com/listings/details/index.cfm?itemnum=817986100&ID=0 I'd like to buy it myself, but just don't know 123s that much, hope someone gets it who'll appreciate it. Also, the Becker didn't light up, the heater seemed to blow through vents only (but warm), and the last hubcap is in the back. No 3rd seat, black tex, some cracks on driver's seat (not bad), recent receipt for front-end work including ball-joint in glovebox. Solid doors, clean looking on the bottoms, rockers looked good, bumpers solid, wipers park in the wrong place.

Looks like one that could be a good daily driver with some TLC. If I was in the market I'd have considered it....

For what W123's are selling for these days $1400 may not have been out of line. Worst case it may have even been worth it for a parts car.

I walked away, reluctantly. If it weren't the last minutes of bidding, and I was able to look it over more thoroughly, I probably would have bought it. Cold feet have done me in before.
If I see it on ebay next week, polished up and selling for $6k, I'll be pissed.
