Its fairly easy to replace. Obtain new pump and gasket. Disconnect vacuum line coming off pump. Undo the small allen bolts that hold the pump to the engine block. Remove forwards. Install new pump with gasket (no sealant or anything needed) straight onto engine. Mount with all the allen bolts. Reattach vac line.
I am pretty sure thats all there is to it.

there are rebuild kits for the vacuum pump available, from what I've read here its not difficult, but it does require attention to detail as some parts could be put in backwards... also, some folks had parts left over if I remember correctly.
Please post your experiences

Be very careful of the allen heads, even though I sprayed stuff in them to clean them out, I still stripped one. Luckily I could pound a 3/8 socket over it and get it that way. I removed my AC compressor to get to the two bottom bolts. My AC system hasn't worked in a while and was empty, so no big deal there. Not sure if you can just remove two bolts and loosen the third and rotate it out of the way or not. I'm more of an all or nothing kind of guy.lol I had a spare pump, which was nice. The rebuild kits are like 80 or so, and I plan on doing that in a couple of months. Good luck with it, it's fairly simple.
