...shaped like a black triangle in the middle of the dash up by the windshield? I recently saw in another thread the rain sensing wiper sensor is up by the rearview mirror. I ran my VIN and it doesn't show that my car was equiped with Rain sensing wipers.

Is it the sun sensor? Mine isn't really triangle-shaped, but it is there.

I have no idea. I don't know what a sun sensor is. Does it let the headlights know when it is dark so they can turn on? If that is the case, I didn't know I had that either.

It is the sun sensor; in simplistic terms it tells the climate control system to increase or decrease fan speed.

The shape is more rectaungular I think, with left and right ends being beveled.

on some of them they are square, and in the center of the dash, on other models they are triangle/square and on the passanger side (LHD)
