W116 armrest adjustment
My armrest is about 5 degrees too low for my liking on my 79SD. The armrest on my 85TD is just right. Is there an adjustment for the angle of the armrest? I noticed on Henry's Ebay listing that the armrest has gone completely south. I didn't want to start disassembling if there wasn't anything that could be done to change the angle.

I haven't been inside the seat on my W116, but I see no reason that it would be different than the W123.
Remove the seat back by sliding it downward. You should see a largish ( 21mm?) nut that holds the bracket for the armrest. Loosen and position the armrest to your liking. Rick

I've had the 123 apart but I was wondering if the fix is that easy, why is Henry selling his 116 with such a badly out of adjustment arm rest?????

Hmm- I am not aware of Henry or his W116...but come to think of it my armrest is kinda droopy on the W116. Maybe there's an issue there.
