Lines Leading into Jets

(1982 Merc 300SD)The rubber fuel line that go from one jet to the other are pissing out fuel, can I just replace them and run it with out bleeding or anything?

thanks for your help.

You can replace them and go. Search for "return lines" and you may get more information. The dealer has the line, and it is cheap.

Yep just cut the lengths to reach from one injector to the next. The fittings are barb-fittings, so just push them down over the barbs...fire it up, and go! :)

When removing the old lines DO NOT cut the line lengthways to get it off, you will put a cut into the barb and it will leak. I use long needle nose pliers to remove the part left on the barb. The part left on the barb is the small 1/8th inch piece that will break off the line as you are pulling it off. It always happens.

Save and re-use the end plug on no 5 cylinder.

if your lines were like mine, and you have no brass insert in the end of the #5 injector line, you will have to leave it undisturbed.
determine if it has a plug in it BEFORE you remove it.
