Wow, the turbo/ALDA works now, but now I need a little trans advice
I did a little expiriementing today, and yanked the overboost protector off. Wow, what a difference the proper amount of fuel makes!
I adjusted the trans for use with the power I was getting before, without the turbo. I had just ran a vacuum line directly from the vacuum source to the trans and adjusted it accordingly, it was working fine. Now that I have all this extra power, I hooked up the vacuum amp, and the vacuum control valve back up according to the diagrams. Now, 2nd and 3rd won't shift completely into gear unless I am barley on the throttle. They will wear into the gear, much like riding a clutch.
After doing some searching on the forum here, I unplugged the vacuum from the trans and tried...same problem. Does this sound like the K1 spring problem, or is it just that there is too much trans fluid in there? I am going to get some of it drained tomorrow morning, but if I am going to need the springs, I would like to get the order in as soon as possible.
