Front Headrests OFF a 300sd?????

Okay, I've got the sheepies and would love to install them today but I cannot seem to be able to figure out how to get the dern headrests off the front seats? Anyone?
Getting the seats out is another problem, the screws are upside down with the heads toward the floor.

Feel around on the back of the seat there is a button under the seatcover that you need to depress - it releases the headrest. I use the handle end of a screwdriver to depress the button - it's fairly stout.

That worked, thanks.
But the dern seats won't come out so I'll have to wait.

Are you taking the entire seats out of the vehicle?

Yep, it's really the only way to get the covers on RIGHT.

Slide the seat forward and remove the two bolts on the back floor - the slide the seat back and remove the two bolts in the front. You will have to discconect the power seats to remove from chasis.

Thanks. I don' thave power seats, it's a 78.
I ALSO don't have my set of ratchets here, they're at the bar.
Tom took them to repair some chairs and never brought them back.
All I have here are some screwdrivers and wrenches.

That's probably going to be a setback. But on the bright side non power seats are a snap to pull out once you get that socket set back.
