Send me a DM, I have the parts for this on a shelf in my garage. Sold the 300D years ago.

Hello, sorry for reviving this topic again, but I need pressure operated wastegate actuator too. I have bad all two vacuum convertors, so easiest fix would be actuator swap. Tried to write email to ATP but they said 433489-12 is no longer available. Do you know any other available solution please? Any other compatible actuator? Also I tried to find other pressure actuator, but without success. Thank you

Last year when I was researching this I was told that this actuator would work.
This is the message from the seller: "433489-0037 is close to 433489-0012, but not exactly same. The pressure of 0037 is 15- 18 Psi. Hope it will work for you." I was getting ready to try this but another member had the exact actuator that I needed. I hope this helps you in your search. |
From what I understand, you want to keep the PSI as 15 or below. The one I have begins to open at 12 and is fully open at 14. My car has no trouble cruising at 90 mph, and very little turbo lag noted when taking off from a stop. this w124 is much quicker than my w123 was.

yesterday ordered that 480009-6....it should be 12-14PSI and its closer to stock specs. Cant wait when it comes and power of car will be back. I think for 15-18PSI should be adjusted fuel on alda...

I am going to try this actuator swap on my 90 300d 2.5. What options did you buy for this waste gate?
I am guessing you need the actuator tip and the long threaded rod? thanks, James |
Bump...is there anyone watching this thread who has done the swap and can answer some questions?

If anyone has info on a vendor & wastegate part number that is currently available, please share!

GSXR, I guess you are the only one following this now...
I tested around with my vacuum hand pump, and the EGR, and many other devices are leaking vacuum, so I am going for it. I think I am going to go for the actuator mentioned a few posts above. Hopefully I can make it work. I will let you know what I buy and what difficulties I have. |
I'm troubleshooting a 99 W210 turbo diesel this week and wish there was a better way to control the wastegate on this application.
Issue on this application is that on initial startup up/run I can get up to around 190 kPa (27 psi) of boost. Then I can go for another ride later and the most I can get is around 150 kPa (21.7 psi). I'm going to start by testing vac pressure to wastegate while idling. Everything looks like it is working as it should. I've had a tune on my 98 E300 and it reads 212 kPa all the time so I can't use it as a guide to troubleshoot. The car I'm troubleshooting runs and drives out fine wihtout any fault codes whether running at 190 kPa and 150 kPa. It is almost like it has a tune then the tune returns to stock. |

If you had 27-30psi with stock IP, your IAT's and EGT's would be through the roof, with no power gain beyond what the IP is capable of delivering for fuel. Not sure what is causing the pressure drop on the 99, are there any recurring fault codes? :balloon2: |
