Here is a round about way to that site.

www.peachparts.com/shopforum/showthread.php?t=100529

go to post#4, click on link. then click on the MB service Manual Library.

Not sure why that link earlier did not work.

What's up Yellowbenz? Your pics are showing up as a question mark.

Edit: Wait! I see a signature pic now. But still a question mark in the body of your posts.

I don't know what I'm doing I guess. Looking ok on my computer, but can't make them any larger. Maybe still uploading from my computer to the server.

Man this is really frustrating some times. I have a mac so I haven't been able to use the google tool mentioned in the archive. Sorry.

I have a Mac too. I have problems with many forum features if I don't use Explorer or Safari. Firefox gives me all kinds of trouble while posting.

Maybe it's your browser?

Ahh. You need an image editor. Sorry, I'm a graphics guy so I have Adobe Creative Suite and use Photoshop for that.

You should consider using Photobucket.com if you want to post huge pics. You can upload pics to an album once you register and then you can paste images into the body of your posts without having to use the attachment feature. You aren't as restricted with size and resolution then either.

Well, I do live in John Deere country. What's really wild is when I park my bright orange Kubota alongside.

Kevin , for what it's worth , I use PictureTrail (as a photo host )and Firefox with Linux .It works well ,very , very easy actually .

Thanks for the file upload links, PaulDrayton seems to have what I need .I'll still chase a printed version though.

As an aside fellas , while you are here ......

My 240D seems to run very cool ,too cool I'd think .About 50 degrees C =122 F .What do you think ....a new thermostat ? What is the recommended temperature ?

Thanks Chad.

Peter other more learned members will chime in but for now I'll mention that the thermostats fail open so yes it could be the source of the problem. Also, recently some have recommended replacing the temp sensor on these older cars. If you have access to a laser thermometer it would help confirm if measured temp is accurate. You probably should go ahead and flush, change antifreeze and replace thermostat as a matter of course unless you know details about the maintenance history of your new car.

Peter, I agree with Kevin. Also, when replacing the thermostat, make sure the short hose is OK. Most people don't remember to replace this one, so it may be ready to leak.

*Kevin, the pics look great!!
