85 300D Climate Control Computer--did it Die?

One day my 85 300D is modulating temperature perfectly and making cold or hot or warm hair and then the next day, its just making Hot.

Did my Climate Control Computer die again? I know about the monovalve and all that, I changed mine. I have a spare computer. I just dont want to keep changing them every year or two. Whats the thing with them. Is there a particular part on the Board that dies?

Those thing are getting rarer and rarer, you know. In another 2 or 3 years we may have to have a DIY sheet on how to fix them...

They are failure prone, sometimes it might work, then not. In a car I no longer own, it worked, once for about ten minutes. I pulled that unit, re-soldered what I thought were all the cold solders, didn't work.
