I just saw a pump today at one of the few stations around here that sells "E85" and it was $3.09/gal!!! While regular gas is $3.39! Whats the deal with that....ethanol is an energy-negative production process...less is gained than what is put into it. Yet they charge less, its because its gov sponsored (at GREAT cost). Yet the same is not done for Biodiesel, which is energy positive, and results in higher efficiency and better mpg's in the vehicles its used in....plus any diesel can run it. B20 is like $4.30 and B100 is like $5 around here. Insane. I don't understand why we would both import/export diesel...probably makes financial/trade sense for those doing it, but its still pointless....

Consumption is also significantly higher with E85. At $3.09/$3.39 it actually costs more per mile to use E85 than regular g@soline.

If your SUV sucks at 12mpg on gas, it would suck even worse with 9mpg on E85.

Amen to that.
The libs up here decided that now was a good time to raise the fuel taxes 7 cents pg and sales tax 1.5 cents
All at the same time the finger is being pointed at "big oil" for price gouging ???
I think not.
Oh ... Tabs went from $37 to $84 in one jump.

Hey, I know. Let's start a chain letter to force fuel prices down . . . . .

The truckers did get national attention and I support their cause. If they had a little better organization it could have been a bit more effective.
I think if the whole country decided to strike for one day, that would really get some attention.
