All,
Is there a difference in the nozzles designed for the turbo 617 vs. the non-turbo 617? I understand that the injectors themselves are different (namely the pop pressure - 135 Bar for Turbo, 115 Bar for Non-Turbo) but are the nozzles interchangeable? I did some poking around on the forum and did not find a post specifically addressing this topic. Thanks. |

Yes, the nozzles and injectors are the same. Its only the pop pressure that is different.

Spring and shim, right?

Just the shim.

How would the performance of a turbo 617 be affected by removing the shim from each injector and reducing the pop pressure to say 115? Would it advance the timing too much?

It would result in smoking and poor performance.

im going ot have my new bosio's balanced very soon. Im looking for performance. Theyre already loud as hell. What would setting them to 140 bar do?

The tolerance is between 130-140 so you won't find much difference at 140 except for a slightly better throttle response maybe.
