Where would this world be without Craigslist?? I got the Squash and China both from Craigslist. The lady I bought China from was just about the nicest person I have ever met, and I really enjoyed taking China back to show her how far it had come from the garage queen with the seized engine.
There was an ad on CL for a complete wagon hydraulic suspension and nice radiator. I found it last night and called the guy this morning. I told him I had work to do but asked him if he would take me at my word that I would complete the deal later in the day. He is old school too and said that he enjoyed doing business that way. I finished up my stuff in Ft. Worth and headed back towards Dallas to pick up the stuff. China has never been so full!! He had everything already boxed up, and he also had some new little parts he gave me, a tranny booklet, misc. box of plugs, wiring harni, hardware, etc..... Oh yea, and when he said complete wagon suspension: reservoir, pump, high pressure hose, metal lines that run the length of wagon, accumulators and hoses/lines, struts, springs and pads, valve, sway bar with links. Dang! {long hard lines and sway bar not pictured} ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() He also included the radiator, a later style cruise unit {never seen one go bad} and a vacuum pump. We were having such a nice conversation about MB's, his wagon that had the engine seize so they swapped a sedan engine in, thus removing SLS. Can you believe in my excitement I never asked him about the suspension post-SLS. ![]() Well, he also gave me the large AC line and that discussion turned to a talk of R12. Well, it was some extra $$, but I came home with a cylinder of R12 too. ![]() ![]() ![]() It was a 30lb cylinder to start. I assume that is 30lbs of freon plus the tank?? It now weighs 19lbs. Anybody know how much freon I ended up with?? I couldn't find anything that gave cylinder weight. So, just another nice CL deal, and a great half hour or so of breeze shooting with a very good dude! Nice way to spend an hour or so.....
