Speedometer doesn't work...

Which means the odometer doesn't work which means who knows how many miles are REALLY on this old girl. But I won't worry about that too much...Any ideas on how to get it working again???Thanks!

Nevermind. I found some good ideas in other threads. Sometimes it's just easier to ask than to look....

If both don't work then its usually just a broken/disconnected speedo cable.

You did not ask for a CHEAP fix....
perhaps you can renew just the inside of it.... ?

same thing happened to someones 116 i was working on. The cable was not broken, the drive which connects to the cable has a stripped gear. we swapped on on there from a junkyard and its three screws. Put it back in and it worked.
