I can't believe I'm asking this....
On all my cars, when changing a tire, I've never had to look for very long to see where to jack it up. On this car....different story. It's easy on the front but I can't figure out the back. I've read arguments about using the rear diff, but I don't need to lift but one wheel at a time back there so I don't want to risk it. I have ramps for that. So I have a 2.5 ton hydraulic. Where do I put it back there!!!!

serious? Jack hole? Its a hole on the side of the car. You can put a floor jack underneath it too, put a piece of wood between the jack and the car though so you dont dent the undercarriage

You can place it under the trailing arms too.
Sometimes its just easier to lift it up by the diff, even if you only need to do one wheel. |

another good spot is the rear subframe mount, where the large headed bolt is noted on the rocker just in front of each rear wheel.

pretty much anywhere that has real steel welded in. like the LCA mounts, the subframe mounts, the rear Diff is designed to support the car, so it's fine. I find it a long reach and a pain with most floor jacks to reach the diff with an SD, but on the D it is just about perfect reach. basically, if you see steel, it's fine.
if you do decide to jack up under the jack holes, use a treated 4x4, not a 2x4, so you don't have a problem and split the board. I would just use the LCA mount, or the subframe plate itself if I HAD to jack up just one side.

I usually just lift the whole back or front if my floor jack is handy. Diff in back subframe in front. be sure not to lift if from the oil pan.
