New gasket + new pan + new fluid = red pool on my garage floor....
I backed out the bolts a little bit, till they were loose and then cross tightened with a torque wrench to 7.5 ft/lb.... anyone know the torque specs? Or has dealt with this problem before?????

there is a gasket for the filler neck thing. I had a tranny leak after i did my engine swap, it ended up being that dipstick was bent, causing the o-ring not to sit level to the tranny. I bent back the dipstick and replaced the o-ring, but maybe yours is leaking from there just because of the o-ring getting old. Also check the transmission cooler lines. They use an aluminum crush washer that might not be tight enough or needs replacing. They are near the pan also . Also make sure your tranny level is ok, if you have to much it will vent out the top of the tranny.

also 7foot lb's doesnt sound like much. If thats what you read in the manual personaly Id tighten them more. Just like how you only supposed to tighten a wheel to 30ftlb's. Thats barely pressing on the wrench, so I dont trust it.
