ok so first off, hello! my name is don and i own a 83 pale yellow 240D 4-speed all manual car.

also, i did read alot of posts to try and fix my problem first but nothing worked.


STARTER ISSUE! so my starter went out... got a new bosch and it worked fine. slowly it started to crank slower untill i couldnt get the car to start at all AND melted the rubber around my ground wire. i put a new solenoid in and tried to hook a jumper cable to the block and to the NEG on the battery to get a better ground, nothing! tried various ways of adding a new ground and still cranking slow.


HELP!!! brand new interstate battery too!
