Hoping for the Best , But Planing for the worst .

Hey guys I am playing the waiting game for parts for my 1983 300cd , I'm waiting for the superior spring kit to try and fix my flaring problem .
Worst case if the valve spring kit dose not fix the slipping 2nd to 3rd I will have to do a transmission .
Is there any builders out there that build a strong transmission and converter .
I have a few diesel trucks that are cummins powered and there are some builders out there that I just make the call and a bullet proof trans and converter show up at my shop .
Are there any builders out there that specialize in these transmissions ....Mercedes are pretty new to me .
