not so much about ease...just find CIS-E interesting. And 103 parts are cheaper/more plentiful:)
I can change the spark plugs on a 117 motor in the same time as the glow plugs in a 617 motor. 103 plugs in 20 minutes... Anyways, back to acceleration runs. |
I found CIS-E / KE-Jetronic interesting in '85 when the dealer couldn't get it to run right after 13 visits, and I decided to get it right myself, ... wished I could back-date it to an '84 CIS. Never have been that impressed with the addition of a frequency valve since.

post 85 has an EHA valve. Ke2 (80-85) was the same as ke1 with the feedback system (os sensor)- I think.

This was Volkswagen, ... '85 was the first year for CIS-E, only on some models, unfortunately the VW dealer was also the M-B dealer so they got to screw me twice as often with my '91 TE-4Matic.
