not so much about ease...just find CIS-E interesting. And 103 parts are cheaper/more plentiful:)

I can change the spark plugs on a 117 motor in the same time as the glow plugs in a 617 motor. 103 plugs in 20 minutes...

Anyways, back to acceleration runs.

I found CIS-E / KE-Jetronic interesting in '85 when the dealer couldn't get it to run right after 13 visits, and I decided to get it right myself, ... wished I could back-date it to an '84 CIS. Never have been that impressed with the addition of a frequency valve since.

post 85 has an EHA valve. Ke2 (80-85) was the same as ke1 with the feedback system (os sensor)- I think.

This was Volkswagen, ... '85 was the first year for CIS-E, only on some models, unfortunately the VW dealer was also the M-B dealer so they got to screw me twice as often with my '91 TE-4Matic.

Good riddance gas passers!

You seem pretty bitter at o'l Betten. :D ;) We've gone there many times and aside from high prices (like any dealer) they've been excellent. You should visit them at their new location, its waaay better than their old location, they've come a long way.

Drove a 300SD last weekend, man that thing was slow. my 300D would smoke it of the line.

Exactly, too much gear for the M103 W126, needs a looser converter and less gear.
