87 Head mold number location
Hi,
Sorry if this is a repost, but I might be looking at an 87 300D tomorrow and was wondering where the head number is..can it be seen without taking anything off? So far things are looking good for this one..it has leather too! And just for the record, is it only the #14 head that has issues or anything up to #22?

It is just the #14 that has cracking issues, and it's not a 100% failure.
It should be visible between the 1 and 2 injector IIRC.

Under the crossover. You are looking for the last 4 numbers. If the head is original it will end in 14 01. It is a lousy picture, but maybe it will help.
