Arrow 300SDL '87'- Dash support clips...

On the two sides of the w126 300SDL dash, there are two L-shaped brackets that mount to the vehicle footwells. I'm not sure how to mount it exactly, I know the wood trim on the dash should be level with the door's wood trim. Is it possible to use something else instead of the brackets to properly secure the dash? Thanks.

Unhappy

I've searched the forum and have found nothing about mounting the sides of the dash... I keep getting frustrated trying to fit the clip on the dash and hold it up at the same time. What's the best way to go about re-mounting the sides of the dash, anyone???
